A Veteran of the US Army, Nate was initially trained as Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (Bomb Squad). He also spent time in the Army as an Armorer Assistant, Security/Intelligence Section Manager, and worked along side the US Secret Service on VIP protection missions. After leaving the Army, Nate decide to bring his passion for firearms into the civilian training market, and began teaching firearms classes in 2017.

At Testudo Defense, we believe that firearm ownership is a lifelong commitment to safety training and skill development. To that end, Nate competes in pistol competitions and trains regularly with other industry professionals to continue to tune his mindset, elevate his skillset, and increase his level of firearms mastery. 

Nate is certified with the NRA and registered with the Latah county sheriffs department to teach the Idaho Enhanced CCW certification course.
