Service Description

This class consists of classroom, shooting on the virtual range and live fire on a range. Training means a lot more than occasionally taking your rifle out to punch holes in paper, or shoot at soda cans. Take your rifleman skillset to the next level. This course is designed to cover topics including: +Proper Defensive Mindset +Functions and operations of a defensive rifle +Proper maintenance +Rifleman safety +Rifle equipment selection and set up +Intro to our Mechanics of Marksmanship™ +Weapon zero and familiarization drills +Malfunctions clearing and reengagement of the target. +Considerations for the effective use of a defensive rifle in and around the home. This is a great class for rifle owners who do not have a military/LE background and want to focus on defensive mindset, use of force, applications of rifles, marksmanship fundamentals, and safety. This is also an excellent class for brand new to intermediate shooters that want to gain a greater familiarity and comfort level with their rifle, as well as increase their efficiency and accuracy.  In this course we also cover terminology that people often get confused. *Required for this course: (1) Notebook and writing implement (1) Semi-automatic, magazine fed rifle with sights (AR15 is the preferred standard, with iron sights or quality red dot, ideally both.) (3) Magazines (1) Sling (and proper mounting solution) (1) Eye Protection (Most fashion sunglasses DO NOT qualify) (1) Set of hearing protection (electronic hearing protection strongly encouraged) (100-150rnds) FACTORY loaded 5.56/.223 Rem ammunition. Any specialty tools required for the maintenance of your rifle and/or accessories. ** Suggested for this course: Sunscreen Snacks and water Hat Rifle field cleaning kit Rifle magazine holster Clothes appropriate for changing weather including rain or snow. ***Proper range attire is mandatory. Pants are suggested. No skirts, dresses or kilts. Long hair should be tied back and kept clear of the students face. Close toed shoes that offer good support (no sandals, crocs, high-heels, or similar styled shoes). V-necks and/or plunging neck line shirts should be avoided.

We do not offer refunds or transfers to students who cancel or fail to show up for class. We do offer refund or credit in the highly unlikely event Testudo Defense finds it necessary to cancel a course. This policy is firm.
