Service Description
Far more than a basic safety and compliance class, this course covers various topics and drills essential for self-defense outside the home after obtaining your Idaho Enhanced Conceal Carry Permit (CCW): - Proper CCW Mindset. - Concealed carry equipment considerations. - Threat identification & de-escalation. - Idaho Law as applied to self-defense and CCW. - Interactions with Law Enforcement. - Actions to take before, during & after a self-defense encounter. - How to draw a handgun from a holster. - Self-defense shooting drills. Our Idaho Enhanced CCW class is for those who already have foundational handgun skills. There’s no overlap with our Basic Pistol class—this is an semi-advanced course focused on self-defense. Participants are expected to know how to properly grip a handgun, get into a shooting stance, aim, reload, proper trigger control, and fix malfunctions. If you haven’t mastered these skills yet, it is highly recommended that you learn them on your own or in a Basic Pistol class before attending *Required for this course: (1) Notebook and writing implement (1) Pistol (2) Magazines (1) Eye Protection (1) Set of hearing protection (electronic hearing protection strongly encouraged) (100rnds) FACTORY loaded ammunition in your pistol's caliber. (1)Sturdy Belt (1)Kydex/Polymer or Leather Concealed carry holster (Strong-side hip OWB or Appendix IWB) (1) Concealment Clothing such as a jacket or long shirt Any specialty tools required for the maintenance of your pistol. ** Suggested for this course: Sunscreen Snacks and water Hat Field cleaning kit Clothes appropriate for changing weather including rain or snow. ***Proper range attire is mandatory. Pants are suggested. No skirts, dresses or kilts. Long hair should be tied back and kept clear of the students face. Close toed shoes that offer good support (no sandals, crocs, high-heels, or similar styled shoes). V-necks and/or plunging neck line shirts should be avoided.
